H. Wild and Son Nursery in Sarcoxie, Missouri donated vintage peonies and
daylilies to the project and plants were received in September for fall
planting. Roses were also planted and were mulched after planting for winter protection (photo
lower right)
Due to the fact that some additional organic matter was
worked in the following spring, the plants that were set in Fall 2003 were
lifted a bit so their crowns remained at soil level.
