Training Systems Vineyard

The Training Systems Vineyard displays several different training systems, the use of both wooden and metal line posts, and several different end brace assemblies for end of the row strength and stability. 

The cultivars planted in the vineyard include Norton/Cynthiana wine grape on the Geneva Double Curtain training system, Vivant wine grape on the low wire cordon or vertical shoot positioned (vsp) system, Chambourcin and Vidal blanc wine grapes on the bilateral cordon - single curtain system, Mars seedless and Concord seeded table grapes on the four-cane Kniffen system, and  Reliance and Vanessa seedless table grapes on the bilateral cordon - single curtain training system.
