'Kent' crabapple fruit is about 2 inches in diameter;
round to conic; stem length medium, calyx small, closed; skin thin, tough,
vermillion overcast with yellowish-white; flesh juicy, crisp, sprightly
sub-acid, fine-grained, faintly yellow, flavor good; may be eaten fresh,
matures about September 5 in southern Missouri. Tree is vigorous, upright,
spreading; hardy.
