'Piney' Grape Released from the
Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station
(G-135)
(From an open pollinated seed of 'Merrimac')
A black grape covered with blue bloom, ripening about
'Concord' time. The berry and cluster are both larger than 'Concord', the skin
is thin and tough, and the flesh (adhering somewhat to the seed) has good
flavor. The flowers are fertile and the vine is vigorous and productive.
Introduced 1947.
