'Roubidoux' Grape Released from the
Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station
(G-194)
(From an open pollinated seed of 'Prune de Cazouls')
The canes, vine and leaves indicate the
Vinifera
parent was crossed with an American species, probably Labrusca. The vine
is hardy, extremely vigorous and productive; has perfect flowers. The
fruit is slightly oval resembling Vinifera; it is blue, large, firm, and
ripens late, with 'Catawba'. The cluster is medium and loose. Introduced 1947.
