The Color of Apples

Mr. Joe Wright explains to the children that apples come in many colors, including red, yellow, green and mixtures of those colors.

Unfortunately, in the photo at the left, someone put an orange pumpkin in Mr. Wright's apple basket, which surprised him greatly.

No matter what color the apple is on the outside, you can tell if the apple is ripe and ready to eat if you cut it in half and look at the seeds.  If the seeds have turned brown, then the apple is ready to eat.

And of course, you can just see if it tastes good!
