Problems in Establishment
Year
Some
problems encountered included:
1.
Not many native plant plug producers. Plants needed to be contract
ordered in early January in order to be available for planting in late May.
Crop failure of Culver's root made a late substitution necessary.
2.
Brush used as windbreaks attracted wildlife. Need to replace brush
windbreaks with snow fencing or something similar.
3.
Fungal gnat larvae killed perennial larkspur plugs.
