 Integrated Pest Management Research Program

IPM is an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates chemical, biological, and cultural control practices to minimize the adverse impacts of insects, diseases, and weeds on crops. Monitoring of pest populations to determine the need for control measures is an important part of IPM. Unnecessary pesticide applications can have adverse impacts on the environment and increase the cost of pest management programs.

Dr. Marciej Pszczolkowski directs this program.
