Mountain Grove Cellars

The Mountain Grove Cellars is located at the State Fruit Experiment Station of Missouri State University, a unit in the William H. Darr School of Agriculture.

The Cellars is licensed for wine sales and includes a commercially licensed distillery.

The facility supports research conducted on specific winemaking problems and offers educational opportunities for Missouri State department of agriculture students who are interested in enology. Public educational events for artisan distillers, home winemakers and consumers are offered annually.

The next Home Winemaking Workshop will be held early December, 2013.

The next Fruit Brandy Distillation Workshop will be held Thursday, February 28 and due to high demand, duplicated on Wednesday, March, 6, 2013.

Wine Appreciation for Consumers - an 8 week introduction to wines taught by Mountain Grove Cellars faculty and staff  - 1 credit, second block in the Spring Semester at the main campus in Springfield. You must be 21 years of age to sign up for his class.
